Welcome to Graze ("we", "us", "our"). Graze is an AI-powered pantry management and meal planning application ("App") operated by Graze. We are committed to protecting your personal information and being transparent about how we handle it.

This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect when you use the Graze App, how we use and share it, and your rights and choices. By downloading or using Graze, you agree to the practices described here.

a. Account Information

When you create a Graze account, we collect:

• Email address
• Display name
• Profile photo (if you sign in via Google or Apple and grant permission)

b. Profile & Preferences

During onboarding and in your profile settings, you may provide:

• Dietary preferences (e.g., Vegetarian, Gluten-free, Halal)
• Allergy information (free-text field)
• Household size

This information is used solely to personalise your meal suggestions and recipe filters.

c. Pantry & Food Data

When you add items to your pantry, we store:

• Item names, quantities, categories, and estimated expiry dates
• Photos you take using the in-app camera (used for AI item recognition and stored in our cloud storage)

d. Shopping & Recipe Data

• Items on your shopping list, including any linked source recipes
• Recipes you save and your interaction history (cooked, saved, loved, disliked)

e. Usage & Diagnostic Data

• Number of AI meal suggestions used in the current billing period
• Feature interactions and screen navigation events
• App crash reports and diagnostic logs

f. Device & Technical Data

• Device type and operating system version
• App version
• Push notification token (to send expiry alerts and reminders)

g. Subscription & Purchase Data

We store your subscription status (Free or Pro) and renewal date. All payments are processed by Google Play. We do not store your payment card details.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and personalise the core features of Graze (pantry tracking, expiry alerts, AI meal suggestions, shopping list)
• Send food item photos and pantry contents to our AI service to identify items and generate recipe suggestions
• Send push notifications (expiry alerts, meal suggestions, shopping reminders) — only with your explicit permission, which you can revoke at any time
• Track your AI suggestion quota and enforce free/Pro tier limits
• Diagnose bugs and improve the App's performance and reliability
• Respond to your support requests
• Comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share data only with the service providers necessary to operate Graze:

All third-party providers are bound by their own privacy policies and are contractually prohibited from using your data for any purpose beyond providing their services to us.

We may also disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority.

Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure with servers located in the United States. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and encryption at rest.

Photos captured for AI scanning are uploaded to Supabase Storage and may be retained for a period to support service improvement. You may request deletion of your photos at any time (see Section 7).

While we take reasonable precautions, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your Graze account.

We retain your data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account:

• Your profile, pantry, shopping list, recipe, and preference data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
• Anonymised, aggregated usage statistics may be retained indefinitely and cannot be linked back to you

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — Update or correct inaccurate information (most of this is available directly in the app under Profile)
• Deletion — Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Portability — Request your data in a portable, machine-readable format
• Opt-out of push notifications — Disable notifications at any time in the app (Profile → Notifications) or in your Android device settings

Graze is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.

Graze may display recipes sourced from or linked to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before interacting with them.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page and notify you through the App or by email.

Your continued use of Graze after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
